What Our Clients Say

Lewis created a training environment that was both challenging and inspiring and was instrumental in Will winning his first medal at a regional level and qualifying for his first State Championships that year and every year since.

I would not trust anyone else to design and deliver strength training to my son, but I know that Lewis will ensure he works out in a way that will benefit his running and overall health, without risk of injury or over work.

– Allegra

From the outset Lewis impressed me as an enthusiastic trainer who takes a keen interest in all aspects of his trainees’ journey, including current progress and aspirations, regardless of age and current abilities. His communication skills are excellent, and his ability to listen and relate to his athletes is an asset he has developed well. Lewis has put together a personal training program for me that accounts for my racing goals for the year, while still having regard for other personal and work commitments.

Lewis has also trained and qualified as a remedial massage therapist, and provides these services to his clients where required, along with cogent advice around injury management and prevention.

I have found Lewis to be highly professional in his approach to his clients. His integrity and honesty are beyond reproach and I have no hesitation in recommending him as a Personal Trainer.

When I started training with Lewis I was suffering from knee pain when running and my 5km PB was 38 minutes.

Weekly track and strength sessions have improved my speed and eliminated my knee pain. Now my 5km PB now 30:18!

I’m regularly completing 14km City to Surf with a 12 week LSPT program.

– Denise

When he started training with LSPT, Nathan did his first Parkrun in 00:25:47. A year and three months later his new 5km PB was 00:21:37, and he ran the Rafferty’s Coastal Run 22km in 02:01:05.

His ground contact time per stride @ 10km pace when he started training with Lewis was around 450 milliseconds per stride; this has improved to around 250 milliseconds (which is a good improvement – professionals do 125-200 milliseconds).

And after a year of strength sessions, most importantly for Nathan he’s now “toned all over and looking great haha”.

– Nathan

When I started I was just post spinal surgery and recovering from injury. My 5km PB was 20:37. 6ft PB was 5 hours 42min.

After 6 months on a full LSPT program and Squad training, now my 5km PB is 19:56 and my 6ft PB is 5 hours and 6min. I have had no reoccurrence of the original injury, and no new injuries as I’ve ramped up my training.

– Colm

My daughter has improved so much and is more confident. I was so impressed that I started the running and the strength and conditioning sessions myself.

Lewis puts a lot of effort into the programs and keeping them interesting. He is very knowledgeable and demonstrates and explains everything clearly and is happy to answer any questions. He goes out of his way to help.

– Sherie

Lewis runs a high quality running group with the sessions always being different and caters to any running ability.

– Sara

I have seen his knowledge and experience grow to the point where he now has a consistent and reliable squad of runners ranging in age from 9 or 10 to over 60. His success has come from a combination of dedication to his athletes needs, consistently interesting sessions, an ability to share his extensive knowledge (and so answer the inevitable ‘why does this make me run faster?’ questions that come from all ages) and flexibility in delivering a range of sessions so that no matter the reason for attending training, any athlete can be confident Lewis will design a session that suits.

At least two of my regular training partners started with Lewis part time and have since made the decision to train full time with Lewis, moving away from other larger, better established coaching groups.
Lewis’ work ethic and professionalism is exceptional. My program is never late, he rarely cancels a session and, if he does, he arranges a replacement. He does not require people to confirm their attendance at training and is always there, even when he has no-one to train.

He is always willing to work around other commitments, sometimes running 3 or 4 separate sessions at once to accommodate different training needs and availability. He has recorded numerous videos to help athletes understand and compete strength workouts at home and will provide variations to cater for different levels of ability, fitness or injury. He generally runs separate sessions for children and adults, but will make adjustments based on both ability and group dynamic to ensure that the sessions are both interesting and challenging.

I would not hesitate to trust Lewis’ knowledge, advice or character for myself or my son. He is a knowledgeable, professional and dedicated personal trainer who puts the needs of his clients first, no matter how varied they are. I have no intention of ever training with anyone else and would recommend him without hesitation.

Lewis has been coaching my son, Joey, for a few years now. The Weekly Programs , Run Squad sessions, Strength Sessions and Personal Training Sessions have kept Joey motivated and improved his running to National level in a very short time.

There is a great atmosphere at the Run Squads and Strength Sessions and Joey always wants to train, even in the cold, dark evenings of winter!

The LSPT App is personalized to each person. Joey has no problems following the videos and instructions and he looks forward to doing the sessions. I’ve attended the run sessions myself and have enjoyed the varied training, coaching tips and vibe amongst the squad at the locations.

The new LSPT training centre at Lawson is going to be a fantastic addition to the training options in the Blue Mountains

Lewis has shown himself to be very committed and reliable. He is motivated to upskill and improve himself and try new things. He continually ensures that training sessions are well prepared, challenging and enjoyable.

Lewis is always flexible and willing to adapt and change prepared training routines and workouts to fit in with competition dates or injuries when they have arisen. He has an impressive repertoire of possible variations for most exercises and will always take the time to explain activities and find alternatives when needed. He has shown himself to be a capable and committed trainer.

Years of road running, playing soccer and a refusal to accept the onset of middle age left me in constant pain from a succession of different injuries that a variety of PTs, physios, osteos and chiros helped me manage but never fix.

18 months of S&C and track work with Lewis has remodelled my running form and helped me regain trust and confidence in my body. My goal of running a marathon before I turn 50 now feels achievable.

Sadly, he’ll never be able to make me faster than my teenage son, but now at least I’m looking forward to running at my own pace throughout middle age.

Lewis doesn’t train his clients, he teaches them, and everything he does has a specific purpose towards an outcome. I wish I’d started training with him sooner.

Lewis is a wonderful personal trainer and running coach. My sons have been training with him for a couple of years now and have benefited greatly from the experience. His sessions are consistently professional and organised with a well thought out program that progresses over a period of weeks or months and is tailored specifically to the group.

He is always prepared and ready for the session early regardless of the weather and sets an amazing example through his own commitment. He has an extensive experience and knowledge of human anatomy and movement and is offers excellent advice regarding specific issues or injuries and tailors the sessions accordingly to work with or around those issues.

He is excellent at assessing individual strengths and focussing in on what each individual needs to achieve their goals. My older son has learnt so much from Lewis about his own body, technique and how to bring out the best in his own performance. It has really empowered him to strive for his goals while at the same time learning to look after himself and understanding his own limits. In the group sessions he adapts his programs according to different levels of fitness and ability for all ages.

In the kids’ session that my younger son attends, he caters for athletic and competitive kids and at the same time is equally attentive and flexible with my son who has ADD and developmental delay and makes it fun and inclusive. Both my sons come away from their sessions feeling happy and motivated and ready for more.
In all his sessions Lewis is welcoming and finds a way to motivate and bring out the strengths in each person. He fosters a real sense of community within the groups that is positive and supportive, fun and energetic.

Lewis is a gifted trainer and a kind, generous and supportive person, who I would highly recommend to both adults and children alike.
